How Balanced Clarity Started
Reminiscing about my life as a young boy in Southern California, learning how to surf, and spending weeks camping and fishing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains with family always reminds me how quickly time passes. Those years make me smile, and laugh remembering the huge amount of fun I enjoyed. Those experiences led to travels around the world, surfing on islands in the middle of the Indian Ocean and many other locations.
This outdoor life style became entrenched in my soul and with it, a growing curiosity about how the Earth works. These curious questions eventually resulted in a graduate degree in geological sciences. Along my journey, amongst all the fun and learning, Life hasn't been all adventures and discoveries though. I've lost people I love along the way—some way too soon. It changes you. Makes you think about time differently. That's why I've become somewhat obsessed with understanding how we might live longer, healthier lives. I dig through research papers, talk to experts, and then try to translate all that science into something that actually makes sense for people.
We all know life is short and most of us don't spend much time tinking about it. Our day-to-day busy lives complicate our free time and with the speed at which AI, and in several more years, quantum computing are advancing our knowledge on all the science disciplines is accelerating. But I believe I can help to stay abreast of new knowledge on human longevity, not in some magical way, but using the same technologies to quickly bring the facts about science-backed approaches and historical cultural solutions like the abundance of centenarians in Blue Zones.
My goal is to share with you, without fancy sceintific language, just straight talk about how to live better and longer.
Here’s to living life with curiosity and zest!
